WGNO Highlights Amistad Research Center’s 60th Anniversary Celebration

The Amistad Research Center’s 60th Anniversary celebration was featured by WGNO-TV, recognizing the institution’s decades-long commitment to preserving African American history, culture, and archival truth.

The segment highlighted the Center’s role as one of the largest independent repositories of Black history in the United States, while featuring remarks from board leadership, Tulane University President Mike Fitts, artists, archivists, and community members connected to the collections housed at Amistad.
